Projection Room: Announcing my shortlist for Film of the Year

As I write this, it’s just gone 10am on December 23rd, and I’m about to head down to my local multiplex for the final time this year. That means it’s time to start considering my shortlist for Film of the Year. With 64 films to pick from, narrowing it down has proven to be difficult, and the films I’ve gone with literally cover a wide range of genres. However, all of them are really worth watching. Without any further ado, here are this year’s contenders. And to make your lives easier, by clicking on the film’s name, you’ll be taken straight to the review.

The winner will be announced on New Year’s Eve in a special Projection Room post celebrating the ups, the downs, the ins and the outs of a very crazy 12 months of film.
