First Take: Bad Neighbours 2- quiet please, I’m trying to sleep

SYPNOSIS:

When their new next-door neighbors turn out to be a sorority even more debaucherous than the fraternity previously living there, Mac and Kelly team with their former enemy, Teddy, to bring the girls down.

How the mighty fall- Bad Neighbours was a truly pioneering frat boy comedy, but unfortunately the sequel doesn’t deliver the same quality of comedic value. The plot is passable at times, with the performances from Rose Byrne, Seth Rogen and Zac Efron just about doing the job. The script fails to pass the 6 laugh test, but the combination of realistic cinematography, a brilliant soundtrack and some good direction from Nicholas Stoller provides some redemption. It might not be Film of the Year material, but even with its flaws, Bad Neighbours 2 is a decent film that could’ve been so much better.

RATING- 3/5
