First Take: Team America: World Police- 'Murica? Hell yeah?

Plot in simpler terms- satire from the dudes who created South Park, this time involving puppets who have the job of killing Kim Jong-il

2004 is still so relevant nowadays, and this is the perfect example of how and why. This is a very funny yet politically incorrect film, but that’s expected from Trey Parker and Matt Stone- there’s a lot of guns, explosions, very poor impersonations of celebrities and possibly one of the greatest love scenes ever created in cinema. The puppets are very well done, it’s shot very well and the voice acting (mostly from Parker and Stone) live up to expectations. Also, the original songs add that extra flavour to the film, possibly putting it on the levels of comedy perfection. Team America is certainly not for the faint hearted, and it’s fully deserving of it’s 15 certificate.

Smit Rating- 5/5

6 Laugh Test- MATT DAMON (6/6)
