Second Take: Les Misérables- Look down to film perfection.

Plot in simpler terms: Based on the musical we all know and love, in a nutshell it’s about the French Revolution.

My family LOVES the musical. So I seen it in VueXtreme (the nearest thing to an IMAX for me) first time around, and it was brilliant. On DVD though it’s a different story- smaller screens give you less of an impact. But, the film still retains it’s charm- Hugh Jackman can quite literally sing his bottom off, but I still feel Russell Crowe’s Javert lacks the manliness the role needs. Still brilliant, but it needs a big screen for the full experience.
