First Take: Capote- Someone who clearly lives In Cold Blood...

Plot in simpler terms- Biopic about Truman Capote while he was writing his last and most successful book In Cold Blood

Now then, here’s something different. This is a very educational film for those covering the book for A-level English, as it provides a lot of context for the book. However, from a film standpoint, it is remarkably brilliant. The late Philip Seymour Hoffman provides a very convincing performance as Capote himself, showing his unique ability to play dramatically different characters. The plot is understandable, it’s paced very well and the topic of the book is depicted with dignity (it is about a murder case after all). This is one of the best indies I’ve seen.
