First (and Second) Take: Scrooged- Dickens in a TV studio

Plot in simpler terms- basically A Christmas Carol set in 1988- slap bang in the middle of a TV station

Now, as has been seen with the Get Santa review, I don’t really like Christmas films. But Scrooged is one of the exceptions. Bill Murray and co provide a very modern and UNDERSTANDABLE take on the Dickens classic. The script is funny, the narrative is OK for a film of this type and the way that they adapted the story to be set in a TV station is just a unique idea. After screening this film for my media class it’s safe to say that I know why my tutor loves this film.
