First Take: Magic Mike- Cringe on another level, and that's just the dancing

Plot in simpler terms- Partly based on Channing Tatum’s life story as it’s about his career as a stripper

A lot of women have asked me to see this- and well, even though it isn’t my sort of film, I really enjoyed it. Channing Tatum is on form as usual and I was amazed by the performance from Matthew McConaughey as Dallas, the big dog of the club where Mike (Tatum) works. There is a lot more narrative than I was expecting, which made the film a bit more bearable for a male audience. Steven Soderbergh has created a film that will be remembered by this generation for years to come.
