First Take: Kinky Boots- the ultimate feel good film

Plot in simpler terms- Based on a true story (I know), the film follows a struggling shoe factory who end up making a profit creating boots for drag queens (not transvestites)

Well, that was a weird plot to simplify, but Kinky Boots is a fine example of how serious comedy films should be done. The narrative was superb and the direction was good but the main star of the show was Chiwetel Ejiofor (pre-12 Years A Slave success, this film was originally released in 2005) as the drag queen Lola. He puts in an astonishing performance and by god, he has a good singing voice! The music of the film was picked very well and it shows a wide audience what entertainment for a niche market is all about. This is a feel-good story on another level.
