First Take: Tammy- Road trips on whiskey...

Plot in simpler terms- Girl gets sacked from restaurant chain and ends up on a road trip with her alcoholic granny. Wow.

I had very high expectations for Tammy after Melissa McCarthy’s successful role in The Heat, one of my favourite comedies of last year, however I shouldn’t have worried as it was a brilliant film that passed my new ‘6 laughs test’ for comedy films. It is a feel-good movie that has jokes from top to tail and the cast don’t disappoint. Where else can you see Susan Sarandon down shots and lots of beer? All in all, a very well done comedy.
